BLA and Canisius College alum Jon Domres (number 66) helped command Durham University en route to a record setting performance in the British Universities & Colleges Sport (the UK’s NCAA equivalent) opening game.  Domres found the back of the net 8 times as he and his fellow teammates racked up an astounding 39 goals against a helpless Sheffield University.  Domres, also a coach of Durham JV lacrosse squad, will look to lead Durham to its fourth straight national championship this spring.

Congrats to BLA alum and current Senior midfielder Derek Frost who was named the SUNY Potsdam player of the week as he helped lead the Bears with three goals and two assists over Morrisville State.  In the same game, alum Freshman Ed Doherty added his first collegiate goal with Potsdam.

Week of March 9

BLA Alum Marshall Argenta was offensive player off the week for the MIAA conference.  Argenta is a freshman at Alma college and is from Stafford, N.Y. (Batavia Notre Dame HS).  He scored seven goals and added four assists as the Scots split a pair of nonconference games. He had five goals and four assists, and also scooped up three ground balls in a 22-4 win over Milwaukee School of Engineering, and had both of the Scots’ goals in an 8-2 loss to Concordia, Wis. Week of March 10

BLA Alum Dan Knupfer from of Corfu, N.Y. (Pembroke HS), a Sophomore at Daniel Webster Collebe in Nashua NH,  was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) "Player of the Week"  for his efforts this past weekend.  Knupfer notched four goals and added an assist as the Eagles topped Green Mountain, 10-5 this past Sunday in the team's season opener.
