Congratulations to Team Buffalo alum, Austin Goltz (Orchard Park), who was named a captain of the Providence College men’s lacrosse team for the 2018 season.
Goltz returns to the men’s lacrosse team as a graduate student after helping the Friars to their first-ever BIG EAST Championship game appearance in 2017. He played in a career-high 15 games during his senior season, including 12 starts. Goltz finished the season with 18 points, which ranked fourth among his teammates, on 14 goals and four assists. Goltz is a member of Chi Alpha Sigma, which is a national scholar-athlete society that recognizes student-athletes who have excelled in the classroom and in their respective sport. He also was the recipient of the program’s Academic Achievement Award and the Steve O’Donnell Coach’s Award.
“Team Buffalo was instrumental in helping me pursue college lacrosse. Playing for Team Buffalo put me in front of a lot of college coaches and allowed me to be part of an even bigger recruiting network. Also, I took to the coaching that was given to me through Team Buffalo and I became a better player every year.” – Austin Goltz
Congrats to Austin on this great honor and best of luck in the upcoming season!!
