U.S. Defeats Iroquois in Lacrosse U-19 Opener | July 4, 2008
Coquitlam, British Columbia -- The United States opened 2008 International Lacrosse Federation U-19 World Championship play with a 20-15 win over the Iroquois at Percy Perry Stadium. Attacker Andrew Feinberg (Owings Mills, Md./McDonogh/Brown) led all scorers with five goals, and teammate Craig Dowd (East Northport, N.Y./Northport/Georgetown) tallied four. The victory lifted the Americans to a perfect 30-0 in U-19 international play since the first championship in 1988. |
Results from Day 6 of the Vail Lacrosse Shootout | July 4, 2008
The first day ever for Men's Elite with pool play began on Thursday, and all 18 teams took the field in attempt to secure a spot in the quarterfinals. The top two seeds moved on in all four pools, while the bottom 10 teams moved to the consolation bracket. The Women's Elite tournament also started on Thursday with their first day of pool play. Pool play will continue today before sorting into bracket play for the weekend. |
