BLA Club House
The BLA Club House is where the BLA alumni, their lacrosse friends and other rusty older guys get together to hang out and continue to play the game they love so much. In 2010 the BLA started the highly anticipated and coveted Buffalo Cup. Each summer local restaurant serves as the league sponsor and defacto club house. Teams are also assembled to compete in tournaments including the Niagara Classic, Lake Placid Classic and Ellicottville Classics.
BuffCup
The Buffalo Cup (BuffCup) is the most fun and prestigious summer adult league in WNY and is open to any high school graduate, current college and post-collegiate player who will show respect for the league and EVERYONE who is a part of it. Begun in 2010 as a way for Team Buffalo alumni and friends of the BLA to enjoy a highly competitive yet clean summer adult league. The BuffCup values include competition, camaraderie and integrity. The is a place for everyone as there is an ‘A’ league consisting of current college players and others who are still in top shape and ‘B’ league which brings together some of the more senior lacrosse players with some younger players who may have lost a step. Both leagues crown a champion and all players get their name engraved on The Cup! Sponsors serve as the team names and one local restaurant serves as the defacto league club house. Registration for BuffCup usually opens in March.
Adult Tournament Teams
Since 2010 the Buffalo Lacrosse Academy has sponsored Lake Placid Summer Classic teams. These teams allow Team Buffalo alumni and friends to compete each August. This is a very expensive trip which requires highly committed players only to attend. In addition to Lake Placid, post grad teams attend regional summer and fall tournaments.
